The Snowdonia national park authority granted planning permission for it as a holiday let so would take enforcement action if it became a permanent residence.

But it is not clear how long the owners would have to stay there for the authority to decide it is no longer a holiday.

The cottage offers the chance of the ultimate quiet getaway in a secluded forest with 1.6 acres of land.

It boasts original features including exposed beams and an arrow window.

It is located in the village of Brithdir in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales.

The area is a hotspot for tourists and has seen a huge influx of second home owners over recent years.

Investors looking to snap up the property could make up to £240 a night letting it out to holidaymakers.

It has an open-plan sitting area with a mezzanine bedroom upstairs – and even includes a grade II-listed Roman bridge.

Estate agents Walter Lloyd Jones & Co said: “Lloft y Crog is a detached barn conversion of traditional stone construction under a slated roof, retaining many character features, such as exposed beams and A frames, arrow window, door and window shutters.

“As this property is not available for full time residency, it provides a business opportunity for any investor who is looking to offer a unique holiday experience in the heart of Snowdonia.

“This is an extraordinary opportunity to purchase a remarkable barn conversion located in your own, remote part of the forest.

“Set in approx.1.6 acres within the Snowdonia National Park, this property not only provides privacy and isolation in abundance, but is the perfect setting for off grid living.

“A generator and bore hole provides the electricity and water supply, there is private drainage system and LPG gas bottles serve the cooker and central heating system.”
