A MASSIVE internet outage is affecting tens of thousands of internet users.
Facebook, Spotify, Wikipedia and Discord’s websites and apps are all reportedly down.
Downdetector has received more than 70,000 complaints that Spotify’s app and website are not working.
Music fans are reportedly being logged out of their accounts and are unable to access their playlists.
Meanwhile, 19,000 Discord users have reported problems.
A Discord spokesperson said: “We’re aware of an issue causing message failures and are working on a fix.
“Apologies for the disruption & thx for hanging tight.”
Similarly, Wikipedia users have also been complaining of issues on the encyclopedia website.
And some Facebook users have been having problems with their messenger app.
Baffled internet user have been taking to Twitter to joke about the internet meltdown.
One wrote: “Is this it? Is this the end of time?”
Meanwhile, Microsoft engineer Nick Craver wrote: “Anyone know what major net event is happening right now?
“I see Spotify, Discord, Wikipedia, Cloudflare, AWS, Google, and Facebook outages – that seems like a backbone issue rather than anyone’s datacenter…but not seeing why quite yet.”
