Expert reveals 3p hack for getting rid of black mould with a quick swipe – & it works every time

A CLEANING expert has revealed a speedy hack to get rid of black mould without having to front a hefty fee.

The cheap hack costs less than a 5p, only takes 15 minutes and is completed with a single swipe of your sponge.

In the video – which was posted on TikTok page ‘realsimple’ – a cleaner can be seen preparing a bucket of water and mixing in some bleach.

A banner on the screen reads: “How to get rid of black mould.”

Soon after, the cleaner starts saying how the trick works before demonstrating it to their 38,000 followers.

They said: “Black mould can be tackled with equal parts bleach and water.

“Use a sponge to saturate the area and a cotton ball for detailing tight corners.

“Let it sit for 15 minutes before rinsing.”

While they’re talking, viewers see mould on a bathroom tile be quickly removed from the surface.

And the best part of the genius hack is the price, given that all the cleaner used was water, a shot of bleach and a small cotton wool pad.

Currently, Tesco sell a pack of 50 cotton wool pads for £1.15, and a bottle of bleach for 70p.

So, at just £1.85 for the tools needed to do the cleaning work, punters are paying a little over 2p per clean and less than that per what looks like a dash of bleach.

And one comment urged the cleaner to use vinegar instead of bleach to get the best results.
