Now, McDonald’s has exclusively confirmed to The Sun that it will indeed be making its way to restaurants – from June 21.

Customers will be able to grab the ice creams across all UK and Ireland restaurants for six weeks or until stocks last.

Maccie’s fans can currently get the dessert in other countries, but this is the first time it’s being made available inside the UK and Ireland.

Fast food fans will be able to choose from two sizes – regular, £1.99 and mini, £1.49.

Gráinne Allen, director of Food and Innovation at McDonald’s UK and Ireland, said: “We’re so pleased to be launching the Lotus Biscoff McFlurry in the UK and Ireland.

“It’s been a long-time hope to some of our McDonald’s patrons and we’re glad we can make this into a reality.”

The new flavour has been much-anticipated, with fans taking to Twitter and Facebook in recent months pleading for Maccie’s to bring it to restaurants.

One said: “Biscoff McFlurry, pls bring them to UK McDonalds.”

A second said: “Lotus Biscoff McFlurry needs to make an appearance in the UK.”

A third added: “A Lotus Biscoff McFlurry in the Zagreb McDonald’s last night… pleaseeeeeeee add this to the menu in the UK.”

It comes after Maccie’s confirmed it has introduced tamper proof packaging for customers who order deliveries.

Packaging is now protected by a seal that you’ll need to tear in order to get to your grub.

The fast food chain also dropped two popular menu items last month, as it regularly switches up its menu.

The Mega Hot Sauce and Garlic Mayo dips were removed on May 31 after just three weeks on the menu.

How will prices compare to other McFlurrys?

You can currently get the Maltesers, Smarties, and Oreo McFlurry mini-size flavours for £1.49, the same as the Biscoff mini-size.

However, the regular sizes for the Maltesers, Smarties and Oreo flavours are £1.79, 20p cheaper than the regular Biscoff size.

Meanwhile, the Wispa and Wispa Gold mini-size flavours come in at £1.79 while the regular sizes both cost £2.29, so the Biscoff is cheaper than these two options on both sizes.
