Neighbours evacuated after blast in western Scottish town that was heard several miles away

Emergency services are at the scene of a suspected house explosion in Ayr, western Scotland, the blast from which was felt miles away.

Police, the fire service and the ambulance service – including an air ambulance – are at the scene in Gorse Park, a residential street in the Kincaidston area of the town, after reports of an explosion just after 7pm on Monday.
