Eddie Jordan has joined the bidding war for Playtech.
The former Formula One boss is the third suitor to approach the gambling software firm.
Australian gambling firm Aristocrat Leisure and one of Playtech’s biggest shareholders Gopher Investments have already made approaches.

The London-listed company accepted an offer from Aristocrat last month which valued it at around £2.7billion.
The 680p per share offer was significantly higher than its share price at the time and was unanimously recommended by the company’s board.
A rival would have to make an offer of at least 748p per share – 10 per cent higher than Aristocrat’s – to be recommended by Playtech’s board.
This month Playtech confirmed Gopher was pondering a bid, reportedly valuing the company at £3billion.
Now Jordan is leading a consortium, JKO Play Limited, that is reportedly plotting a a £3billion-plus counterbid.
Playtech said talks with JKO were at an early stage and that neither Jordan’s interest, nor Gopher’s, may result in an offer.
