IT’S only a matter of a few days until you can break out the chocolate!
Easter is less than two weeks away and the shops are crammed with delicious Easter eggs. According to supermarket insiders it’s the adult, boozy eggs that are flying off the shelves.
Grab one of my favourite bargain options for you or someone you love, before they disappear.
GIN-NING COMBO: If your favourite drink is gin and tonic, you need to snap up the M&S Gin & Ton-Egg. It’s made up of a G&T-flavoured milk chocolate Easter egg filled with pink gin-flavoured chocolate buttons and it’s just £5, which is a very good deal. Similar eggs cost £15 on yumbles.com, so the M&S one is impressive.
SAVE: £10
BIT OF ALL WHITE: It wouldn’t be Easter without a Baileys. But why not grab the Easter egg version? Baileys Strawberry and Cream Chocolate egg is down to a brilliant £6.99 at B&M. The egg is made from white chocolate and has dried strawberry pieces in it and comes with four milk chocolate truffles, with a Baileys and strawberry and cream filling. Last year, the egg was selling for £9.99 and it’s currently listed on amazon.co.uk for £12.88 — so this is a B&M bargain!
SAVING: up to £5.89
CHEERS TO THAT: Is a pint of Guinness your go-to tipple? Nab the Guinness Easter Egg and Mini Pints from Studio.co.uk for just £8.99 — it’s £16.99 at very.co.uk! The creamy chocolate egg is served alongside six mini-pint liqueurs filled with a Guinness-flavoured centre.
SAVING: £8
BOOZY DOUBLE: Aldi has not one but two alcohol-infused Easter eggs. You can choose from a Gin White Chocolate Egg or a Prosecco & Raspberry Milk Chocolate Egg. Both cost £4.99 each so are a right bargain. I’ve seen other Prosecco eggs go for as much as £37 at Liberty.
