A NEW cinematic trailer for Dragon Age 4 has been released with more details about the story of the upcoming game.
Fully titled Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, the game will focus on a new controversial character.

Having taken on various guises throughout his life, Fen’Harel is most commonly known as Dread Wolf.
It seems that each of his aliases comes with a different backstory, leaving people confused whether he is a source of good or evil.
Only parts of the story were revealed in the trailer, which was released to celebrate Dragon Age Day.
However, further details were given in an accompanying blog. We were informed that Dragon Age 4 entered the Alpha stage in October.
This is usually a playable version of the game, though things like the story and characters are not refined, not all the game mechanics have been added, and many bugs are still present.
The team says that Dreadwolf will enter the production stage in February, though this still means that the game is at least a year, if not several years, from release.
What was interesting about this is that the description under the video posted to Gamespot says that Dreadwolf will be released on both current- and last-gen consoles.
It reads: “To celebrate Dragon Age Day, we get an in-game cinematic trailer.

“The in-game cinematic is a work in progress and not actual gameplay.
“Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is releasing on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.”
The PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S were launched several years ago, and many games are not being released solely for these platforms.
As many studios make the switch to the latest gen, it seems a strange choice to continue to release for older platforms such as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
While big games like God of War Ragnarök have been released on older platforms, Dragon Age: Deadwolf is still a long time from release.
However, the description on the official Dragon Age channel doesn’t mention platforms, and this could be outdated information.
Dragon Age Inquisition was also released cross-generation, and was known for its poor performance on the older consoles.
