Aldi is selling the cheapest Creme eggs this week

Aldi has its Cadbury Creme eggs at just £1.49 down 50p from its original price of £1.99.

The deal was shared on the Hotukdeals website.

One chocolate fan said: “Five pack of creme eggs showing as £1.49 now at Aldi.

“Assume competing with the Tesco offer.”

Aldi has topped Tesco’s deal but just 1p. The retailer has the Cadbury chocolates on offer for its Clubcard users.

Tesco Clubcard customers can snap up the five-pack of mini eggs for £1.50 while non-Clubcard customers will pay £2.50.

The next cheapest option after Tesco is Morrisons which is selling the multi-pack for £2.25 online.

Asda is selling the five-pack for £2.50 while Sainsbury’s has it for £2.50 as well if you’ve got a Nectar Card.

Of course, factor in that if you want to buy the Creme Eggs from Tesco you’ll have to pay a delivery fee.

If you’re willing to wait there is a chance some of these eggs may drop further in price after the bank holiday.

Note that in some supermarkets it may be cheaper to include the selection box in your weekly shop or to pick them up in-store.

Trolley.co.uk has a price comparison tool which compares the prices of 130,000 products across all major supermarkets.

The Latest Deals app also lets you search items and helps you compare prices at several supermarkets to see where it’s cheaper.

Over the past few weeks, many exciting Easter flavours have been spotted back on shop shelves.

Asda customers couldn’t get enough of Cadbury Oreo mini eggs last week on sale for £2.25.

Meanwhile, B&M customers were buzzing after spotting a new Cadbury Twirl flavour hit shelves for just 29p earlier this week.

The limited edition mint-flavoured bar normally sells for 75p a pop but was being flogged at the massively discounted rate.

Shoppers were able to pick up four of the bars for £1 to 25p each.

If you’re not a Cadbury fan we’ve rounded up the cheapest places to buy Easter eggs this week as Nestle treats are on sale for just 10p at discount supermarket.

How to save money in Aldi

It’s worth keeping an eye out for the retailer’s red stickers on products – staff add them when something has been reduced in price.

But it can catch some shoppers out as most supermarket chains add yellow stickers to reduced items.

Meanwhile, take super saver Tom Church’s advice and shop at the German discounter at 10am on a Wednesday.

This is when staff restock their regular items and you’ll have the best selection of products to choose from.

Aldi also puts out a Special buys leaflet which tells you items that will be on sale every week.

It’s worth signing up for the Aldi newsletter and following them so on social media.

Also every two weeks Aldi picks six fruits and vegetables and reduces them to a silly low price
