DIOGO Jota has just scored his second goal of the Premier League’s 2023/24 season, but it’s not his skills that people are looking at.

The Liverpool forward scored a goal in the team’s 3-1 win against West Ham United, alongside teammates Darwin Núñez and Mo Salah.

Fans were confused by Jota's saucy looking celebration.

However, it was what Diogo Jota did after the goal that people had their eyes on.

As a new goal celebration, Jota raised his arms above his head and shaped his hands like an upside-down triangle.

This is a saucy symbol in a number of countries, for its appearance similar to a ‘lady garden’.

Since the match finished, though, Jota tweeted about his new celebration, and it appears that it wasn’t yonic at all.

More in EA FC 24

Tagging the official account for EA Sports FC in the post, Jota asked the developer what it thought of his new celebration.

Turns out that Jota was trying to imitate the logo for EA FC 24, which is an upside-down triangle with the name of the game inside.

Jota wrote: “Another 3 points on the board. Thoughts on my new celebration EA Sports FC?”

EA responded by retweeting the image with an eyes emoji, but it seems Jota’s fans didn’t enjoy it quite as much.

One user responded to the tweet: “Awful but you’re class, mate.”

Another long-time Liverpool fan was less polite, writing: “If you do another FIFA celebration then I’m quickselling you.”

Despite the users seemingly loving both Liverpool and EA FC 24, it seems they didn’t like the idea of these two worlds colliding.

Jota isn’t the only footballer who spends his time on football games, with a number of players sharing their love for both EA FC and Football Manager.
