Dermot O’Neill Gardener Death Cause
Green-Fingered Dermot O’Neill, the well-known radio and television gardener, On Saturday night, he died at Dublin’s St. Vincent’s University Hospital.
His funeral plans have not yet been disclosed. “The shocking death has occurred of Dermot O’Neill of Blackrock, Co. Dublin,” states his death notice.
Dermot went away quietly while being cared for by the physicians, nurses, and ICU personnel and while being surrounded by his devoted family.
He received his stomach cancer diagnosis in 2009 when he was constructing his cherished walled garden at Clondeglass, a village in the Co. Laois foothills of the Slieve Bloom Mountains.
According to the gardener, “the treatment was difficult; at one point, a hole was drilled in my head.”
“Before I became unwell, I recall growing many beautiful items in the garden. While receiving therapy, I was unable to garden, but I did occasionally go there.”
After his therapy was over, he took his rehabilitation slowly but was in enough shape to plant some hyacinths. Dermot has been cancer-free since 2011.
