CYBERPUNK 2077 is now available on the PS5 following some next-gen updates, according to new reports.

The popular video game, developed by CD Projekt Red, is now optimized for all major gaming systems including the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S after it underwent several internal updates.

The next-gen console improvements include ray tracing support, and 4K resolution with dynamic scaling.

The Patch 1.5 for Cyberpunk 2077 will also allow for faster loading times, and “a variety of other visual and technical improvements” for PS5 and Xbox Series X, CD Projekt said.

Some of these effects include the game featuring a reworked perk tree, as well as upgraded AI.

From a traffic perspective, the crowds will be better managed, and the game’s driving model will see some improvement, CD Projekt Red developers said on Twitch.

The PS5 version, specifically, sees added support for the DualSense controller’s adaptive triggers and haptic feedback tool.

The game’s updated patch will take up around 50GB of space on gaming consoles.

Furthermore, if you’re hoping to play on a PS5 then you will have to manually install or reinstall the game on your console to see the updates, according to The Verge.

The game is currently is on sale for $25 on the PlayStation store and $30 on the Xbox store.

However, if you don’t want to dish out money for the game just yet, you can play a free five-hour trial on both the PS5 and Xbox until March 15.

As an added incentive, the game will allow any progress you make in the trial run to carry over into the full version if you opt to purchase it.

Cyberpunk 2077 first launched in December 2020, although it featured many bugs and glitches, prompting Sony to remove the game entirely from the PlayStation store for several months.
