The high-street and online retailer is one of the biggest sellers of tech and electronic products in the UK, though it also stocks kitchen and household appliances, as well as white goods like washing machines and tumble dryers.

We know that a lot of people might have finished their pre-Christmas spending, and are probably thinking more about what time to put the turkey in the oven tomorrow.

But it’s definitely worth casting an eye over some of the Boxing Day deals we’ve listed below, and giving them consideration.

We’ve also seen a year marked by serious supply issues and stock shortages – so if you do see something you want, it’s not a good idea to assume it will still be available in the weeks to come.

When does the Currys Boxing Day sale begin?

It already has!

This year, Currys rolled out its Boxing Day sale on Christmas Eve (just in case you weren’t busy enough with all that last-minute present-wrapping).

Like we say, this is officially being called the January sale, and it will run until January 25th.

Our guess is that we’ll see fresh waves of price drops in the post-Christmas and post-New Year periods.

Will Currys be open on Boxing Day?

As it stands, yes: Currys stores across the UK will be open for business on Boxing Day.

Of course, with the escalating COVID-19 situation, nothing should be assumed at this point – the government may well introduce new restrictions.

One thing to keep in mind is that prices in-store and online will be exactly the same, so if you would prefer to keep safe and do all your shopping from home, you won’t miss out on any lower prices.

That being said, occasionally stock that sells out online can still be found inside stores themselves.

More on Winter sales

What were the best deals in the Currys Boxing Day sale last year?

There were a number of real gems in the 2020 sales, across a wide range of products.

Vacuum deals were especially good: we saw the Dyson V7 Total Clean vacuum drop from £319 to £199 (it’s currently unavailable) and the Shark DuoClean Anti-Hair Wrap Vacuum fall from £369 to £199 (it’s currently cheaper at £179).

The Bosch Tassimo coffee machine was reduced from £89.99 to £29 in a fabulous offer, while the Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones dropped from £259 to £219 (they’re currently out of stock).

What is the Currys Price Promise?

It’s something you should definitely keep in mind when you’re hunting through deals in Boxing Day sales, that’s for sure.

Currys is well-known for offering a price-match guarantee – in other words, if you see another product that’s cheaper elsewhere, it will match that price.

Better still, it will do that for up to seven days after you’ve made a purchase, so don’t despair if you’ve just bought an item and you’ve seen a lower price on another store.

It’s worth reading through the details – head to the Price Promise page on the Currys website.
