Currys 2021 Black Friday sale: What to expect this November

CURRYS PC World’s Black Friday is not to be missed and we’re expecting another massive sale from the high street giant in 2021.

We take a look at what’s to come from the tech retailer on November 26.

When is Black Friday 2021?

The day for bargain hunters to mark in the calendar in 2021 is November 26.

Black Friday always follows the day after Thanksgiving in America and traditionally begins at midnight.

However in recent years we’ve seen the mega sales event stretch for a month (or even further) before the main event.

Keep an eye out for sales that start earlier, especially the ones that guarantee that sale prices won’t drop further.

Is Currys taking part in Black Friday this year?

We haven’t had official confirmation that Currys is taking part in Black Friday in 2021, but given that the retailer has taken the event so seriously in the past, we reckon it’s a pretty safe bet it will be taking part again this year.

What to expect from Currys Black Friday sale 2021

Again, we don’t yet have word of what will be in Currys sale, but we’d be expecting discounts on a range of top tech.

Whether you’re shopping for household appliances, gaming gadgets or a new TV, you’ll probably be able to find something in the Currys Black Friday sale.

When does Currys Black Friday sale start?

Traditionally Black Friday sales begin at midnight once Thanksgiving ends and it could be that Currys has a fresh batch of offers go live on its website then.

However, we’d expect they’ll start their seasonal deals much earlier than that in 2021, as they have done in previous years.

Keep your eyes peeled for deals from between two weeks and one month before the big day.

How long does Currys Black Friday sale last?

Technically the sale period will end on Cyber Monday (November 29 this year).

However, in the past, we’ve seen Currys Black Tag event extend well into December.

When is Cyber Monday and is Currys taking part?

Cyber Monday is traditionally an online-themed sales event on the Monday following Black Friday (November 29 this year).

However in recent years, most major retailers have extended their Black Friday sale over the weekend and onto Cyber Monday.

We’d expect to find the sale still going strong on Cyber Monday at Currys.

What was on sale at Currys during Black Friday 2020?

• Cooker deals – Currys offered £50 off the marked price on selected cookers over £500. There were discounts of up to £100, saving you £150 in some cases! Shop the deals here.
• Coffee machine deals – Coffee machines don’t have to cost the earth and this Tassimo pod machine was just £29 in the sale.  Shop all coffee machine deals here.
• Fitness tracker deals – Currys was giving away a free Google Nest Mini with the Fitbit Inspire 2. Shop all fitness tracker deals here.
• Fridge Freezer deals – Currys was focusing on the expensive American-style fridge freezers in its Black Friday sale. This LG model was reduced by £350. The retailer was giving everyone £100 off marked prices over £999 too! Shop all fridge freezer deals here.
• Headphone deals – You could get the Beats Solo 3 Wireless headphones for just £125; a perfect Christmas present. Shop all headphone deals here.
• Laptop deals – The HP 14a 14″ Chromebook was £249, saving £100. You could also save £170 on the ACER 715 15.6″ Chromebook. Shop all laptops here.
• Macbook deals – If it’s Apple you want, you could get the APPLE MacBook Air 13.3″ (2020) at £879 – a £120 saving.
• Microwave deals – This Russell and Hobbs microwave was down £20.99 in the sale costing just £49. Shop all microwave deals here.
• TV deals – Our pick of the TV deals we’ve seen at Currys so far is this 43″ model from JVC for £219. But there was loads of TV available whatever size you’re looking for and whatever your budget. Shop all TV Black Friday deals here.

• Washing machine deals – One of the most popular washing machines in the Black Friday sale was this Hotpoint model for £219. It’s got rave reviews from customers who praise its cleaning power. Is Currys likely to reduce the PS5 for Black Friday?

Historically Black Friday has been a great time to pick up deals on game consoles.

However, there have been stock issues with the PS5 and it’s unlikely we’ll see that resolved in time to see Black Friday deals on the console itself – however, we would expect to see Black Friday deals on PS5 games bundles.

Are iPads usually in the Currys Black Friday sale?

We would expect to see iPads in the Black Friday sale at Currys and often the latest models are discounted for the shopping event.

In 2020, the iPad Air 3 64GB (2019) was reduced at Currys to its lowest ever price.

We’re expecting to see some equally compelling deals in this year’s Black Friday sale.

How much does Currys delivery cost?

For small items, Currys offers a standard free delivery service which takes 4-5 working days to get your item to you. If you want to pick a specific day for delivery, there is a charge of £10.

Alternatively a next-day delivery service costs £5, unless you want to specify morning or evening which costs £10.

For larger items and appliances, standard delivery starts from free and goes up to a £25 cost. Next day delivery on large items costs £20, or £40 if you want to choose a time-slot.

Does Currys offer a student or NHS discount?

Aside from its own vouchers page, Currys does occasionally offer an up to 20% student discount, but not all year round.

The retailer doesn’t offer specific NHS or military discounts but there are always a range of discount codes available.

There are options to pick up discounts and voucher codes via voucher sites though – including The Sun Vouchers.
