Avid caffeine drinkers were devastated at the news, with some begging for Costa to bring it back.

One fan asked earlier this month: “What happened to the Ruby Hot Chocolate?”

Costa Coffee’s Twitter account replied: “It was discontinued, sorry!”

Fuming Brits replied: “BRING IT BACK PLEASEEEEEE.”

Another fan wrote: “Fuming that Costa have discontinued Ruby Hot Chocolate.”

A third said: “My favourite is now gone.”

It’s not the only item pulled off shelves recently.

Earlier this month, Walkers confirmed it has axed Worcester Sauce flavoured crisps, and snackers were raging.

Crisp connoisseurs had noticed the flavour’s absence from supermarket shelves “for a while”.

But Walkers officially confirmed it has scrapped Worcester Sauce crisps on Twitter/X.

It comes after chocolate fans were left fuming when Cadbury quietly scrapped a popular chocolate bar.

Tesco is making a major change to its F&F clothing range – and it works out cheaper for shoppers.
