A cosmetic clinic has jumped on the ‘grey sweatpant season’ trend — by using it to plug penis fillers.

New York-based Lushful Aesthetics promoted its $4,000 (£3.1k) ‘girth enhancement’ option with a post mentioning phrase.

It even offered men the chance to ‘finance your c***’.

Grey sweatpants season refers to a sudden surge of men wearing the item because of the cold weather. They can leave a visible outline of the penis.

Fillers, whether for the lips, cheeks or penis, work in exactly the same way. Liquid is injected into soft tissue to plump the desired area up and add volume.

Some clinics claim it can make penises up to 5cm thicker.

Medics, however, have warned the procedure, which offers short-term results, can have brutal side effects.

Some men, for example, have been forced to get skin grafts after suffering severe reactions to the injections.

Clinics offering penis fillers have also previously been accused of cashing in on male anxieties.

In post on X, formerly known as Twitter, ‘medical spa’ Lushful Aesthetics promoted the procedure after hailing it ‘grey sweatpant season’.

WHAT TYPES OF PENIS ENLARGEMENT ARE THERE?

There are various surgical and non-surgical procedures which can be used to try and increase the size of a penis.

One treatment which is said to be becoming more popular is the use of dermal fillers.

These work in the same way as lip fillers and are injected into the shaft of the penis to make it thicker. They are temporary and the filler is absorbed by the body after a few months.

Vacuum pumps can be used to try and increase penis length or girth but, according to a study by Kings College London, do not work.

Surgically, a popular option is an operation called a suspensory ligament incision.

This involves snipping a ligament which connects the penis to the body at the top of the base. Cutting this cause the penis to droop more, appearing longer when flaccid – but the op doesn’t actually add any length to the penis.

In other procedures, tissue grafting can be used to add fat or other tissue from different parts of the body to the penis.

The clinic, founded by Dr Chris Bustamante, said: ‘Our patient came in to add more penis filler to his previous girth enhancement results.’

It stated that Dr Bustamante, nicknamed Injector Chris, specializes in penis filler and ‘performs this procedure daily in our practice’, adding: ‘It’s the perfect procedure to boost your confidence.’

Accompanying the post was a video of Dr Bustamante carrying out the procedure.

During the treatment, patients are numbed with shots of local anesthetic, before the dermal filler is injected underneath the top layer of skin.

It generally needs to be retreated every 12 to 18 months, if men want to keep up the results.

According to Lushful Aesthetics, the treatment ‘does not change the length of the penis while erect but does prevent full retraction of the penis when flaccid’.

It is solely for ‘aesthetic purposes’ and has ‘no effect’ on erectile performance, it also claims.

In a separate post titled ‘FINANCE YOUR C***’, the clinic urged men to apply for a ‘cherry payment plan’ allowing them to make regular monthly payments to cover the cost of treatment.

Price varies on the amount of filler used, but the minimum amount of filler used for a first time treatment — five syringes — costs $4,000.

It offers the second five syringes for a staggering $700 (£556) per additional syringe, while The price falls to $600 (£477) per additional syringe following 10 syringes.

In other ads seen by MailOnline, typically costing around £2,500, UK clinics say the procedure can increase penis circumference ‘by around 2 to 4cm’ and length by up to ‘1cm to 2cm’.

Others in London, which offer ‘interest free finance plans’ and claim the treatment takes just 15 to 20 minutes, charge up to £8,000.

It comes amid a growing trend of men getting cosmetic surgery, including Brazilian Butt Lifts (BBLs), liposuction and ab implants.

While penis fillers can be reversed with a dissolving shot, there is limited research in the risks involved in injecting them in this location.

Just like with facial fillers, solution that is inexpertly injected into or around a blood vessel could cause tissue to die.

And in the first week after enlargement injections, there is also the risk of filler migration, where the filler moves from the original injection site, resulting in an irregular shape or feel.

If the filler is not applied correctly, it can also harden, bruise and leave permanent disfigurement, or the injection sites may get infected.

In severe cases, skin grafts may even be required to repair damage caused by the filler.

Senior medics at the British Association of Urological Surgeons have also previously warned there is ‘no definitive evidence’ proving the procedure improves function.

The group urged clinics to ‘stop misleading’ vulnerable patients cashing in on male anxiety and ‘address the real issues with psychological treatment and reassurance’.

In June, a German man also died from sepsis after silicone oil from a penis enlargement jab ended up in his bloodstream.

Studies suggest the average penis size is around 5.1 inches (13.12 cm) when erect.

A micro penis is defined as less than three inches when erect.

Enlargement surgery is only available on the NHS for those with a micro-penis. Privately, it can cost up to £6,000.
