AN ICONIC Nestle drink has been axed from major supermarket chains – but there is still hope die-hard fans.
The devastating blow comes after reports Banana flavoured Nesquik stocks had dwindled in supply on Australian shelves.
However, it can now be revealed that Coles and Woolworths discontinued the product in 2018.
A Nestle spokesman told 7News the niche product was no longer available at the major chains but could be found elsewhere.
He said: “Imported banana Nesquik is available at some specialist stores, which import it from the UK.”
While the trademark strawberry and chocolate flavours are still stocked, fans have only recently noticed the yellow powder’s absence.
It has become a topical discussion on social media after Nesquik lovers hit out at independent stores for jacking up the price.
TikToker @hollythebigbadloser said: “Coles and Woolworths Australia, you really let your fellow human beings down by taking away banana flavoured Nesquik off the shelves.
“Thank Christ for West Australians and Spud Shed though because they’re stocking banana Nesquik.
“Now this is an import item from the UK so we are going to pay a bit more than the $3.99 price tag you see at Coles.

“With a price tag of $8.99 I am happy to pay this just for my banana flavoured milk.”
The video has more than 5,000 views with other social media users sharing their love for the product.
“I don’t blame you, the banana flavour is the bomb,” a TikToker said.
“Love banana Nesquik… I always bring some back from the US when I go,” one added.
“I am glad to see another banana Nesquick lover,” another remaked.
