It’s one of the most popular gaming platforms around the world.
But if you use the PlayStation Network, you might want to check on your account.
Several confused PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users say they have been ‘permanently suspended’ from their accounts and games.
Taking to Reddit, one user wrote: ‘My account permanently suspended for no reason??,’ while another added: ‘There’s no reason for it. Sony better fix this.’
Sony is yet to publicly acknowledge the issue – but here’s what to do if you’ve been affected.

According to Sony’s help page, accounts can be permanently suspended for a number of reasons.
‘If PlayStation Safety determines that you have uploaded or shared content that breaches our Community Code of Conduct, your account may be temporarily or permanently suspended depending on the severity of the offense,’ it explains.
‘You can be suspended for sharing explicit, hateful, or graphic content in text, audio, images, or videos.’
However, several users claim their accounts have been suspended, despite not breaking any of these rules.
‘I got a permanent suspension. no email. no appeal,’ one user wrote on Reddit.
‘I literally played this morning. I’m trying to get on a chat. They are swamped on the phone, and I started at 265 on the chat. This must be a mistake.’
Another added: ‘I just got permanently suspended while playing Ark.
‘There’s no reason for it. Sony better fix this. I’m in the US, and was playing on my PS5.’
‘Without any notice, PlayStation permanently banned me from the PlayStation Network,’ one user tweeted.
One user vented: ‘We just came home from dinner and my kids got on to play Fortnight…perm banned…kids are freaking out…’

‘I’m just happy that we aren’t alone, but this stinks!!! I’m thinking it’s a bug, I just hope it can be resolved.’
Several users have reported similar issues over on X (formerly Twitter).
‘Without any notice, PlayStation permanently banned me from the PlayStation Network,’ one user tweeted.
‘No one knows why! I don’t have a chargeback, I can’t appeal & no response to suspension status. CS says to create a new account & disconnected me.’
Another responded with a similar predicament, replying: ‘Same thing here. Lots of people.
‘I’ve done nothing and now I can’t use my PS5. This better get fixed quickly.’
Sony is yet to comment on the issue, although MailOnline has contacted the press team for comment.
In the meantime, if your account has been suspended, you can appeal the suspension on the PlayStation support page here.
