EASTER is on the horizon and now might just be the best time to snap up an extra large egg as two supermarkets slash prices.

More often than not it pays to get ahead and order in any chocolate in advance of the annual holiday.

And this week, two retailers have slashed the price of their extra large Cadbury eggs to £3.50 – but it’s not Sainsbury’s or Asda.

There’s also a couple of retailers you’ll want to head to if you’re looking at buying in bulk.

Customers with a Clubcard can snap up a 232g Cadbury Mini Egg box set for £3.50.

Meanwhile, the retailer is selling its Dairy Milk with caramel bars set, Creme Egg box set and Flake egg set for the same price.

Bear in mind, shoppers without a Clubcard will have to pay a higher price of £5.

Shoppers can pick up everything from a Cadbury Wispa Gold Egg, Twirl Special Gesture egg and a Creme Egg box set as well.

If Cadbury chocolate doesn’t take your fancy, the retailer is also selling a Smarties Giant Dinosaur egg and larger Kinder egg for £3.50.

Like with Tesco’s offer though, you’ll need to be a Morrisons loyalty card member to get the eggs for £3.50, otherwise they’re £5.

Ocado and Asda

If you’re looking to buy in bulk, Ocado or Asda might be worth a shout this week.

Ocado is running a two for £5 deal on a number of Cadbury varieties including Crunchie, Creme Egg and Twirl flavours.

Meanwhile, Asda has a four for £10 deal on the same three eggs and a number of others.

Remember though, to only buy in bulk if you actually need the eggs and not because they’re on offer.

Lidl

If you’re not looking to buy Cadbury, Lidl could be the cheapest option this week.

Lidl is selling some more peculiar branded eggs ahead of Easter, and they’re the cheapest we could find.

The discounter is selling a Skittles Large Egg for £2.99, but shoppers can only get it in-store.

Meanwhile, it’s got a Kit Kat Medium egg on sale for £1.25 while the next cheapest options are Morrisons and Ocado.

It’s also got an enormous Chunky Caramel Cookie Collision Egg on sale for £9.99 ahead of Asda, Morrisons, Ocado and Iceland which are selling them for £10.

Remember too, to always shop around when buying your Easter eggs as you might find them cheaper than we did.

Websites like trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on 130,000 products across all major supermarkets.

Meanwhile, the Latest Deals app also lets you search items and helps you compare prices at several supermarkets to see where it’s cheaper.
