SPLASHING out on a hot tub doesn’t have to break the bank as we round up the cheapest deals from shops like Argos and B&M.
A professionally installed hot tub can cost you thousands of pounds, but you can find cheaper options with prices starting from £300.
Cheaper hot tub brands include Lay-Z-Spa, which is sold by high street retailers across the UK.
Other labels you may have heard of include CleverSpa and Wave Atlantic.
Hot tubs tend to fly off the shelves when the weather gets warmer, so keep in mind you may need to be quick to nab a bargain.
How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
Here are some that we recommend:
- Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
- Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
- Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
- CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
Brits also look set to spend more time in their garden for the time being, with people facing a £5,000 fine for jetting off on holiday any earlier than July.
Here are some of the best places to buy hot tubs for the cheapest prices.
B&M – Lay-Z-Spa Miami Hot Tub
When the lockdown roadmap was announced, B&M launched a range of four new hot tubs all priced under £500.
But with Brits so eager to revel in the warmer weather with friends and family from next Monday, the entire range is temporarily sold out.
The discount retailer have told us the hot tubs are on their way back though, and we could be seeing them hit the shelves in early May.
So you’ll want to keep an eye out in-store if you want to snap up the massive bargain.
Argos – Lay-Z-Spa Cancun Hot Tub
Price: £350 – buy now
This Argos hot tub is perfect for four people to relax and enjoy the outdoor space in.
The store isn’t fully open at the moment because it is deemed “non-essential” under the current guidance – but you can still pick up items with click and collect.
Delivery for this item costs only £6.95 but you will have to check your postcode at the checkout to see if it’s still available to be delivered to you.
While collections are free from your nearest store, the product isn’t currently available to collect so you’ll have to keep an eye on when they return.
B&Q – CleverSpa Maevea Hot tub
Price: £388 – buy now
Perfect for a mini impromptu hot tub party when the restrictions lift, you can pick up the hot tub in your nearest B&Q.
The DIY retailer has been able to remain open during the lockdown because it sells “essential” home repair goods, so if you’re desperate to get the bubbles going you can swing by to pick up a hot tub.
They offer delivery too but it will set you back another £10 and might take three to five days to have the home spa brought to your door.
The Range – Wave Atlantic Plus Spa
This hot tub from The Range is inflatable and portable, and can even comfortably accommodate up to four or six people.
The cheap option is only available for pre-order at the moment so if you want the discount price then you might have to wait a little longer.
Delivery from The Range will cost £9.95, but you can’t use their click and collect option for this item as it’s too big.
The Range – Cleverspa New Hampshire
The Range has a whole variety of tubs on offer but the high demand from eager garden loving Brits has lead to most being sold out online.
If you’re after one you can buy today and have it delivered as soon as possible, then this tub is the cheapest we’ve found.
It’s nearly £200 more than the previous option but if you can’t wait to splash about then we still think it’s a great bargain and you can have it delivered to your home from £9.95.
Because it’s a large item however, you can’t collect from store.
Amazon – MSpa Silver Cloud Jacuzzi
We’ve found that this hot tub is another great bargain especially if you’re desperate for some back yard bubbles.
The hot tub from Amazon can arrive on your doorstep in only a few days with the free speedy delivery on offer.
You don’t even need to have an Amazon Prime membership to claim the deal which means with this bargain you don’t have to pay through the nose for delivery.
There’s a really limited number of these left though, so you’ll have to be quick to grab one of the last three left in stock.
Robert Dyas – Canadian Spa Grand Rapids Hot Tub
If you’re willing to splash a little more cash on your new hot tub, then Robert Dyas might have the one for you.
The personal spa has all the latest in technical features including an aromatherapy system, microban filters and a three speed design.
But even with all the bells and whistles, we still think it’s a great bargain and you can have the tub delivered to your home for free as it meets the £50 minimum.
We also found a really cheap sun lounger at B&M and compared it to other stores selling the summer must-have outdoor furniture.
Aldi’s £40 sell-out pizza oven is back in time for the warmer weather too.
And our list of the best garden sets will help you complete your back yard space in time for visitors on Monday.
