ELECTRIC blankets can be a cheap way of keeping warm when temperatures drop.
If you’re trying to cut back on using the central heating this winter due to rising energy bills, an electric blanket could be a handy alternative.
That’s because they don’t cost very much to run and you can warm up without having to heat the whole house.
Last Friday the new energy price cap, set annually by Ofgem, came into force, resulting a hike of £139 in bills for many households.
Do some research and compare prices before you make a purchase to make sure you’re getting the best value for money.
Prices vary – with some as low as £25 but others well above £100 – and there are also different types and sizes of electric blanket to consider.
B&M Silentnight Winter Warmer Electric Blanket – Double
B&M is selling this double electric blanket for just £25 – which was the best deal available at the time of writing.
The blanket takes just a few minutes to warm up and has three temperature settings, as well as protection against overheating.
B&M doesn’t offer online shopping so you’ll have to head to the shops to pick up this electric blanket.
You can check stock levels online and find your nearest B&M store here.

You can also set it to turn off automatically after one, three or nine hours.
