Even better, there’s no upfront cost to the deal, making it the best value out there.

The iPhone XR is still a popular handset, even having been available since October 2018. That’s because it features a solid set of specs, is upgradeable to the latest version of iOS and is snappy with Apple’s capable A12 Bionic chip.

It’s also because of its display, which can’t be matched by an Apple phone in the same price-bracket.

While the iPhone XR’s natural rival is now 2020’s iPhone SE, the XR features a large 6.1-inch screen, compared to the 4.7-inch of the SE.

That means that while the XR lags a generation behind in processing – the SE features the A13 Bionic chipset – those prioritising affordability with viewability may still opt for the XR.

There is some difference in cost between the two, and actually the XR has held much of its its value: it’s currently £499 SIM-free versus the SE’s £399.

Choosing between the two may come down to usage: the SE for gaming and better speed, and the XR for viewability and streaming videos. But the XR has one or two other benefits.

It matches the iPhone SE’s camera on hardware, and is also water resistant with an IP67 rating.

But it actually beats the iPhone SE on potential battery life; over 11 hours versus over 9 hours for the iPhone SE.

The XR is still a worthy Apple handset then, and even better with unlimited data at a lower monthly cost.

The deal is available on the handset in black, blue, coral, red, white and yellow.
