Brits are looking for ways to cool down during the June heatwave

It can be hard to keep cool on warm, humid nights, and sometimes a fan just doesn’t do the trick.

Rather than enduring another sweaty evening, it could be time to invest in a portable air conditioner.

Electric fans simply waft air around the room, but air conditioners are able to cool the temperature.

But they do have their downsides – air conditioners will increase your energy bills if you use them alot.

And they can be expensive – prices start at around £23 but quickly rise to hundreds, depending on what functions you require.

If you’ve got a large room then you need to go for a higher BTU number, but this means the device will be more expensive and bigger.

It’s always a good idea to compare prices with other shops before you part with your cash, as you could be able to find a better deal elsewhere.
