Most people have felt the pain of making a phone call while walking down a busy street.

Apple has fixed the problem with a feature that tunes out surrounding noise so the recipient hears only your voice during a phone call.

During your call, swipe down from the top-right corner of your screen to open Control Center.

Select Mic Mode at the top right and push Voice Isolation, which prioritizes your voice and blocks ambient noises.

Mic Mode was released with Apple’s iOS 15 in 2021 but is only accessible with iPhone XR, iPhone XS models and later iPhones with iOS 16.4 or later.

The feature is available for FaceTime, which also offers Wide Spectrum that enhances the noises around you without affecting your voice, but this diminishes the quality and clarity of agents.

By default, cellular calls on an iPhone use the standard mic mode, delivering every background noise and voice to the recipient.

Users will have to switch back to standard in order to access that type of sound quality.

Voice Isolation is also available for iPads that run on iPadOS 15 or later and Macs running MacOS Monterey or later.

Apple is set to roll out its new iOS 17 in September, which is packed with new features.

Many users have complained that their words are autocorrected incorrectly, but the new system adds a new language model that has a more accessible shortcut to go back to the original word if the system gets it wrong.

And now, dictation also uses a new AI-powered model.

Apple is also making a small but mighty change to Siri in the new iOS 17 – users can drop the ‘Hey’ and only need to say ‘Siri’ to activate the virtual assistant.

The change has been a sought-after feature of iOS fans, and it seems Apple has finally listened to their demand.

The tech giant has announced a new feature coming in iOS 17 called Check In.

The tool will allow you to notify family members or friends when you’ve made it to a destination safely.

And another feature will change the way iOS users end calls.

While the end call button can currently be found in the center of the bottom of the screen, beta testers have revealed that this is set to change.

Following the update, the end call button will be moved to the bottom right of the screen.

iMessage apps will be stored in one place, typically above the texting area.

Tap the new plus button to view everything you send the most — like photos, audio messages, and your location. Swipe up to view the rest of your iMessage apps.
