CALL of Duty Warzone is officially coming to mobile for the first time ever.

The smash-hit battle royale game is a staple of consoles and PCs – but is currently inaccessible on mobile.

Thankfully, game-maker Activision has pledged to bring the title to mobile.

“We are creating an all-new AAA mobile experience that will bring the thrilling, fluid and large-scale action of Call of Duty Warzone to players on the go,” Activision said.

“This large-scale, battle royale experience is being built natively for mobile with cutting-edge technology designed to entertain gamers around the world for many years to come.”

This isn’t the first time Call of Duty has ventured to the small screen.

Call of Duty Mobile launched in 2019 and has since become a major hit in its own right.

It’s racked up hundreds of millions of downloads, and is available on iOS and Android.

Sadly, Activision hasn’t confirmed exactly when the new game will launch.

A blog post references hiring developers to build the game, so it’s potentially still in very early stages.

That may mean it’s still years away.

We also don’t know exactly what platforms it will arrive on, but iOS for iPhone and Google’s Android seem a safe bet given Call of Duty Mobile’s success.

Call of Duty Warzone is one of the most popular shooter games in the world.

It was released in 2020 as a spin-off to the main Call of Duty franchise.

Like Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Warzone is a battle royale.

Games typically see 150 players dropped into a map where they fight to the death, either as solo players or in small squads.

The game is totally free to play, and doesn’t require owning a premium version of Call of Duty.

It’s currently available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
