Another person added: “I need at least 100 bags of these.”

While a third person commented: “As if mini eggs weren’t addictive enough.”

Surprisingly only one or two people complained about the timing of the new sweet treat.

One person said: “You’d have thought they would have at least got through Christmas Eve before getting Easter stock out.”

Another said: “OMG we have not had Xmas yet, ridiculous.”

According to the Facebook post, the mini eggs are available in One Stop convenience stores.

We had a look online to see if any of the other major supermarkets are stocking the item.

At the time we checked we could not find the orange flavour mini eggs in any other online stockist.

A spokesperson for Cadbury said: “The secret is out! Cadbury Mini Eggs are evolving with the first-ever UK flavour development.

“Cadbury Mini Eggs Orange will launch for Easter 2024, with the same crunchy outer shell we know and love, but with an orange-flavoured chocolate centre, bound to get your taste buds tingling.

“Although Cadbury has been keeping this top secret, Cadbury Mini Eggs Orange will be appearing exclusively on shelves at Tesco Group, soon.”

Cadbury Mini Eggs Orange have a RRP OF £1.80 per 80g bag.

One Stop is part of the Tesco Group and according to reports on social media customers are already able to get the orange flavour mini eggs from One Stop stores.

Cadbury did not offer any further comment on this.

Cadbury fans may be pleased with the launch of the new orange Mini Eggs, however, they have recently been upset by the confectionary giant.

Shoppers were also complaining when another Easter favourite was spotted on the shelves earlier this month.

Meanwhile, one chef showed his followers on TikTok how to make their own Creme Egg, which was praised by fans as looking “nicer than the bought ones”.

If you thinking more about the festive season and are on the hunt for an advent calendar, we reveal where you can get a Cadbury one reduced to £2.50 instead of £9.
