Fans were saddened to see their Yultide tradition – Cadbury Snaps – removed from the shelves a little while ago.

They had been a sweet staple in many households, with hungry Brits expressing their love for the snack.

“We used to have them Cadbury Snaps at Christmas. Oh my god they were beautiful,” penned one lover on social media.

Another wrote: “Omg remember Cadbury chocolate snaps they only come out at Christmas.”

“Someone buy me some Cadbury snaps for Christmas,” joked a third.

And when baffled shoppers could no longer find them, fans urged the company to “please bring these back”.

Unfortunately they were met with a crushing response: “Hey, Cadbury Snaps have been discontinued, however we still have lots of other chocolatey treats to try.”

But, while one of the nation’s favourite chocolate brands forgot about the legendary treat – Costco appears to have remembered.

In a bid to save Christmas, the budget retailer has listened to fans’ demands and rolled out their dupe.

The packaging is almost identical, and four boxes can be bought for just £8.49.

They are called Belgian Chocolate Thins and come in a salted caramel flavour.

At such a cheap price, extra boxes could be used as stocking filler presents or gifts to walk in with at festive parties – but they might be too delicious to give away.

An eagle-eyed shopper still pining for the discontinued Cadbury snack shared their discovery on X.

“If you remember Cadbury’s snaps you’ll know how gassed I am right now,” they commented.

Another claimed a similar alternative can also be found in Aldi – and they offer a range of flavours.

This comes as fans were also delighted to see Cadbury is bringing back its Secret Santa Postal Service that could see you get free chocolate.

Now running for the sixth year, the idea is the same – shoppers order a free bar for their loved ones.

Plus, the cheapest places to buy the brand’s advent calendars this week has been revealed – and they cost just £1.35 each.

Meanwhile, chocolate lovers were thrilled after spotting a unique treat usually found abroad on shelves in the UK.

The Cadbury Dairy Milk Slices Vanilla Passionfruit was previously only available in Australia but now they have reached British shores.
