CADBURY have admitted they have made key changes to Mini Eggs and told fuming shoppers “it was a last resort.”

Mini Eggs Bar 110g has also increased in Tesco and Morrisons by 25% from £1 to £1.25.

In Tesco and Sainsbury’s, Mini Eggs Carton 38.3g is up 20% from 50p to 60p, according to the latest figures.

The price hike has left some shoppers fuming. One captured the mood with a post on X which read: “Having to take out a loan to buy a bag of Mini Eggs wtf are these prices.”

Cadbury’s responded with to the post with the comment: “Making changes to the price of our products is always a last resort, however,
costs across our supply chain have risen steeply.

“Core ingredients we rely on, like cocoa and sugar are a lot more expensive, while the costs continue.”

A Sainsbury’s spokeswoman said: “While prices can go up and down for a range of reasons, we’re committed to offering our customers great choice and value when they shop with us.

“As well as offering branded products, customers will also find our own brand options such as the Sainsbury’s Milk Chocolate Mini Eggs 85g for as little as £1.”

The masters of chocolate crafted up a unique masterpiece with a fancy new flavour – orange flavoured mini eggs.
