Judge says David Smith, 58, handed over documents that might put embassy staff or UK interests at risk

The British man David Smith, who admitted passing secrets to Russia while working as a security guard at the British embassy in Germany, has been jailed for 13 years and two months.

The 58-year-old admitted eight charges under the Official Secrets Act.
