B&Q is selling the egg chair for much less than Aldi’s

And what was a craze last Easter is one once again this year after Aldi revealed it would be bringing back its famous egg chair.

Shoppers flocked to buy the product, which comes in a single size for £199.99 and a double size for £344.99.

However, customers were sad to see that the price had gone up from last year’s.

If the bigger size, which is currently in stock online, is too far out of your budget, then B&Q has one that’s really similar.

Its Outsunny double hanging egg chair costs £209.00 – nearly £150 cheaper than Aldi’s one.

It can hold up to 230kg in weight and can be easily folded up and stored away.

And shoppers have been pleased with the chair.

One said: “Had the double hanging chair for several months now and it’s fantastic.

“It’s a little tricky to set up as I did it on my own but it was well worth the effort and price I paid 269.”

While another wrote: “Easy to put together, the children love it.

“The only negative I have is the cushion slips and doesn’t look like it was designed to be the right shape.”

Another added: “I bought 2 of these and they are fabulous.

“Two people can sit comfortably however I like to snuggle up, lie and gently swing in it.”

The item is currently in stock online to order for delivery and collection.

Delivery for B&Q is free for large items over £350, or £12 for those below.

Click & collect to the store is free.

You can find your nearest B&Q shop by Googling “B&Q store locator”.

Of course, do hunt around for cheaper deals as we could have missed one.

For example, we found a Singapore Hanging Egg Chair from Dunelm that’ll set you back £259.

In comparison, Studio is also selling a double hanging egg chair for £295 – £50 cheaper than Aldi’s but nearly £90 more expensive than B&Q’s.

And remember, it’s only a save if you were planning on purchasing the product anyway.

If you’re committed to Aldi though, you can order the egg chair online now.

At the time of writing the large egg chair was in stock online, but the smaller one wasn’t.

Standard delivery is £4.95 but it could cost more since it’s a bigger item.

It comes with a waterproof cover and the maximum weight the chair can carry is 180kg and it weighs 47kg so bear that in mind if you have plans to move it once it arrives.

You’ll also need to build it yourself, but it shouldn’t take too long. There will be an instruction manual included to help.

But there’s a three-year warranty on the product – so you’re covered if there’s issues with it.

You’re best to be quick if you want one – the chair flew off shelves at the height of summer last year.

It’s also a Specialbuy which means there will be a limited number in stock and it won’t be selling for long.

Remember to still shop around as well so you’re not putting all your eggs in one basket though – comparison sites like Google Shopping will help you look at what other retailers are selling and for how much.

For example, we found a Singapore Hanging Egg Chair from Dunelm that’ll set you back £259.
