An eagle-eyed shopper spied the hot tub on sale in store and was quick to share the find on social media.

She shared a photo of the spa with the shelf sticker depicting the massive discount.

We have asked B&M if other stores will be selling them at this price and will update this story when we hear back.

A few people did comment on the post saying that they had seen the same Lay-Z-Spa on sale for £250 at their local B&M, which is still a £250 discount.

When prices are reduced by this much it’s usually in order for stores to clear excess stock, so prices and stock will vary from store to store.

But it looks like the item is an end of season deal and stock may be limited.

It’s best to phone ahead to your closest shop to see what they have in stock to avoid disappointment.

You can find your nearest B&M store using the locator tool on the website.

The highly popular Miami AirJet is one of the most affordable round hot tubs in the range, according to the brand.

It fits up to four people and heats water to 40°C, with all‑surrounding 120 jets.

How much can you get the hot tub for elsewhere?

The portable hot tub retails at £499 on the Lay-Z-Spa website so this is a massive saving.

We had a look around and of course B&M’s price was the lowest we could find.

B&Q is also selling the tub for £211 as it is part of their clearance sale – so this is still a saving of approximately £290.

We also found the spa on the House of Fraser website for £249 which is 50% less than Lay-Z-Spa’s price.

You can find different brands selling similar products for less than the Lay-Z-Spa so it’s important to shop around to make sure you’re getting the best deal.

For example retailers like Argos and Furniture Hub are selling similar inflatable hot tubs for around £300.

If you’re ordering online make sure to factor in delivery costs.

How much does the hot tub cost to run?

One concern several shoppers had was how much the portable hot tub costs to run.

We found that Lay-Z-Spa’s website estimates the cost of running one of its hot tubs over a weekend in the winter will cost £17.52 and £28.77 for a week.

Over the summer this reduces slightly to £11.76 for a weekend and £21.73 for a week.

However the company recommends using a thermal cover to lower these costs by around £3 – but the covers do cost £127.99 so bear that in mind.

It’s also important to bear running costs in mind before you commit to a purchase like this as if you use it regularly you may end up spending more.
