A keen shopper spied the item in their local store and was thrilled at the price.

Posting the find to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK  Facebook group, they said: “Biggest bargain ever.

“Same one different barcode in B&M was £60. I think it was just an old bar code £1!”

They shared a photo of the unit in its box with a price sticker on it.

The “Maine White Tall Boy” shelving unit is approximately 30cm wide, 30cm deep, and 160cm high.

It is described as “stylish and useful storage” on the B&M website, where it is also listed for £60.

The discounter describes it as “perfect” for storing bathroom essentials, such as towels and toiletries.

Unfortunately you won’t be able to buy it online but it is available in stores.

Although do bear in mind that when prices are reduced by this much it’s usually in order for stores to clear excess stock, so prices and stock will vary from store to store.

In this case it looks like it is a simple barcode difference which resulted in this hefty discount.

It’s always best to phone ahead to your local shop to check what they have available to avoid disappointment.

You can find your nearest B&M store using the locator tool on the website.

It always pays to compare prices so you know you’re getting the best deal.

Even if you can’t pick this particular unit up for £1, it’s original price of £60 is still the cheapest we can find elsewhere.

Both Dunelm and Argos are selling very similar tall boys for £149 and £115 respectively.

While, Habitat and The Range are also selling their own versions for £105 and £90.

Prices can also vary day to day and by what deals are on at the time, plus remember you might pay for delivery if you’re ordering online.

You can compare prices on platforms like Google Shopping.
