SHOPPERS are rushing to buy an incredible pet essential on shelves at B&M.

The discounter has reduced a dog cooling mat from its original price of £20 to just 10p – and pooch owners are scrambling to get their hands on one.

One lucky shopper who managed to bag the deal and shared her festive bargain to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook group.

The post read: “10p each in B&M. My son who has autism also loves these in the summer.

“I already have a few and will be passing them on to dog owners.”

Now is the best time to bag a bargain as many retailers have started slashing prices.

You can use price comparison sites such as Google Shopping to compare the prices of items across different retailers.

Right now supermarket giant Asda has reduced its kid’s toys, and many are under a tenner.

Also, clothing retailer Next is gearing up to start its big sale, and it might be coming earlier than usual this year.

Argos has a huge sale at the moment and is offering two for £20 on children’s toys.

Meanwhile, we have pulled together all the best info on the latest deals, so that you don’t miss out.

Pre-Christmas deals usually run right up until the shops close on Christmas Eve, but there is still plenty of opportunity after that.

A lot of shops launch their Boxing Day sales on December 26, and following this is the January sales.

Here is a full list of shops offering up to 70% off earlier than ever this year.

How do I maximise my chance of finding a bargain?

The Sun has covered plenty of B&M scanner wins over the years, so we’ve picked up a few tricks or tips along the way.

Here are some pointers to help you nab a deal:

Check seasonal items

These are the items that are most likely to be reduced. So after Christmas, you’ll want to be checking all the festive products.

And after summer, you may find paddling pools and outdoor toys reduced.

Scan reduced items

Even reduced items can be discounted even further when you check them with the B&M scanner.

Visit more than one B&M

If you’ve got the time, it could pay to visit more than one B&M as stock availability and discounts will vary between branches.

For example, we previously spoke to a B&M shopper who nabbed £860 worth of goods for £80 by visiting five stores in one day.

Pick your day and time carefully

We’ve spoken to B&M haulers who claim the time and day you visit your local store does have an impact on how many bargains you’ll find.

There isn’t a set formula for all stores, so try and visit at different times until you know when is best.

Use Facebook groups

Keep an eye on what is likely to be reduced by joining B&M Facebook groups.

For example, the B&M Bargains and More page has more than 274,000 members all posting deals.
