The retailer is selling bottles of Lenor Chic Fabric Conditioner for 50p down from £3.49 – a whopping 85% discount.

The shopper posted their find on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group with the caption “my bargain of the day”.

“It’s worth using the B&M app to scan your items, these were 50p each for 50 washes.

The post has notched up over 500 likes and comments from fellow bargain hunters remarking on the cheap find.

“Thank you! Just bagged six bottles in Cardiff and me and the sister are very happy,” one wrote.

A second added: “Oh my god, what a bloody bargain.”

A third weighed in: “Wow my favourite softener, amazing find!”

How do I find bargains with the B&M scanner?

When you’ve found a product you want to scan, simply point your smartphone camera toward its barcode in store.

The app will then automatically bring up the item’s price – this is when you’ll know if it is reduced or not.

Bargain hunters have previously raved about some items come up as £1.50p or even 10p through the app – what’s not to love?

One thing to note hover is that the reductions do sometimes vary between stores.

This means just because something is reduced in one B&M, it doesn’t mean it’ll cost the same price elsewhere.

But if you do get lucky and find a bargain, the product should scan at that price at the till.

The scanner also only works in stores, so you can’t use it online.

How to save money at B&M

Shoppers have saved hundreds of pounds a year by using B&M’s scanner app.

The scanner lets you see if an item’s price is cheaper than advertised on the shop floor label.

Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift.

The app is free to download off the B&M Stores mobile app via Google Play or the Apple App Store.

According to one ex-B&M manager, you’ll want to visit your local branch at 10am on a Wednesday too.

This is when staff slash items to as little as 10p to clear excess stock and make way for new products.

Remember you can find your nearest B&M branch by using the retailer’s store locator tool on its website.

Keep an eye out for red sticker products as well, according to deals expert Tom Church.

What is the B&M scanner app?

SAVVY shoppers are using an app to find better discounts in stores.

Here’s how you can join the B&M bargain hunt:

  • Download the B&M app for free on any smartphone with an App Store or Google Play.
  • Once you’ve installed it on your device, click on the option labelled “more” on the bottom, right-hand side of the app home page.
  • You’ll then find an option that says “barcode scanner”. Click on this and you’ll open a camera screen.
  • Use the camera to hover over the barcode of the product you wish to check.
  • If the price comes up as lower, take it to the cash desk and it will automatically scan at the lower price.
  • You don’t need to sign up to the B&M app to use the barcode scanner.
