The readers were given a believable account of the tennis player’s sudden passing away. Hundreds of his fans and admirers soon started expressing their grief, sadness, and messages of condolence on the Facebook page.

Soon social media was frenzied over the death hoax. Some trusting fans believed the post, while many were immediately skeptical of the report, perhaps encountering the massive amount of fake death news of celebrities over recent months.

Bjorn Borg is alive, and his death cause and obituary are futile. On Monday, July 25, 2022, the tennis player’s representatives officially confirmed that the Swedish tennis player was not dead. “He’s alive and doing well,” the reps said.

“Borg joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this death hoax. He is good; stop believing everything you see on the Internet,” they added.

He then welcomed his son, Robin Borg, in 1985 with his relationship with the Swedish model Jannike Bjorling. Borg’s son Robin had a cute little daughter in 2014. From 1989 to 1993, the tennis player married Loredana Berte, an Italian singer.
