A SHOCKING report has revealed how many login credentials were stolen last year and how many devices were infected.
A staggering 721.5 million credentials were stolen and 22 million devices infected, according to the latest Identity Exposure Report from the experts at SpyCloud.

Around 50% of the stolen data was taken by tools called “infostealers”.
Trevor Hilligoss, director of security research at SpyCloud, explained: “The pervasive use of infostealers is a dangerous trend because these attacks open the door for bad actors like Initial Access Brokers, who sell malware logs containing accurate authentication data to ransomware syndicates and other criminals.
“Infostealers are easy, cheap, and scalable, creating a thriving underground economy with an ‘anything-as-a-service’ model to enable cybercrime.
“This broker/operator partnership is a lucrative business with a relatively low cost of entry.”

The website is regularly updated with the ever-growing list of data leaks.
It also lets you type in a password you’re worried about to see if it’s been involved in a data breach.

All you need to do is visit this website and type in your details to find out if they’ve been released in one of the many data breaches in recent years.
The website can tell you how many breaches your information has been involved in and some information about those breaches.
If it’s one or more you’ll be advised to update your passwords.
