THE third generation of Apple’s much loved iPhone SE is now on the market and there are plenty of deals for you to grab.

The budget (well, budget-ish) handset is way cheaper than the flagship iPhone 13, but comes with some of the same stunning features.

The iPhone SE 3 offers a major update on the previous generation - and it's highly affordable

Pre-orders for the iPhone SE 3 went live last week, but it’s now on general sale, with most retailers shipping their handsets from today.

Also released today is the all-new Alpine Green iPhone 13 Pro – but the third-generation SE, of course, is the much more affordable smartphone.

While the flagship range boasts bigger screens and Face ID, the SE design keeps things simple with what our tech editor Sean Keach calls “a tried-and-tested look” in his iPhone SE review.

He concluded: “I’m genuinely surprised by how powerful this phone is for the price. A masterclass in optimisation and trickle-down tech indeed.”

The new iPhone SE has the same A15 Bionic chip and iOS 15 as the top-of-the-line iPhone 13 range – but comes with a much lower price tag.

It also comes in three colours – Starlight, Midnight, and Product Red. A portion of proceeds goes to charity from sales of Product Red phones.

So if all the best iPhone 13 deals out there are too pricey for you, it’s definitely worth seeing what plans are out there on this far more affordable option.
