Are sofa sales better on Black Friday or in January?

You can get a good deal on a sofa on Black Friday or in the January sales.

For the January sales, stores are often promoting bigger discounts on old stock so if you’re after a newer style, it may be best to try to get a Black Friday deal at a retailer with a site-wide discount.

If you don’t get the deal you’re after on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, you can always try again when the January sales come round!

How to clean leather sofas

First off, use a vacuum cleaner or damp cloth to wipe away excess dirt.

You then need to make a solution to clean your sofa – either a mild PH balanced soap in warm water or a dilution of white vinegar and water (50:50).

Alternatively you can buy a soap specifically for leather such as this Aspinal of London leather cleaner.

Put some solution on a micro-cloth and gently rub the surface – then use a dry micro-cloth to buff the leather.

You can then also use a leather cream or conditioner to finish.

How to clean fabric sofas

The process for fabric sofas is similar but you may want to adapt the solution – the key is to be gentle and always read the label on the sofa for specific washing and care instructions.

Use a second cloth to dry the areas you’ve cleaned and there’s no need to finish with a cream or conditioner but ensure the room is warm so the sofa dries quickly.
