The accused killers of Benjamin Eastman are Jonathan Adamson and Benito Marquez. In July 2018, Benjamin Eastman was killed.
On June 14, his family reported him missing. They informed the Lewis County Police Department on June 27—three days later.
Following accusations that they had lured Eastman into the East Lewis County woods in June 2018 on the pretense of going camping and then brutally beating him to death, Marquez and his brother Jonathan Adamson both agreed to plea agreements in February 2019.
They allegedly dug up Eastman’s body, reburied it, and then escaped to Eastern Washington after burying him in a shallow grave.
Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer claimed that Adamson initiated the attack, and Marquez’s sentence was lowered as a result of this information, as well as his age and assistance with the investigation.
Marquez and Adamson, who were 16 and 21 years old, respectively, were camping that day with their 14-year-old sister, their cousin, and their cousin’s girlfriend.
