Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. on Monday said it agreed to sell Cost Plus World Market, its last noncore banner, to private-equity firm Kingswood Capital Management for an undisclosed amount.

The Union, N.J., retailer, which has already shed its Christmas Tree Shops chain and PersonalizationMall.com business as part of its transformation strategy, said the sale includes 243 stores, the Cost Plus digital business, two distribution facilities and a corporate office in Alameda, Calif.
