TESCO is selling a Keter three-piece balcony set for £120 and it’s the perfect garden furniture for your back yard this summer.

You can only pick up the bargain set in-store at Tesco and it’s subject to availability, but it’s £30 cheaper than one Argos is selling online for £150.

The Iowa Balcony rattan furniture set was spotted by bargain hunters on the Facebook page Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK where shoppers thought it was selling for “an excellent price.”

The set isn’t a Tesco-own product and you can actually find the same thing elsewhere, but compared to other retailer’s, Tesco is selling the furniture cheaper – unfortunately you can’t buy it online though.

The three-piece set on offer includes two seats and a table all made from plastic and designed to look like a woven, rattan material in an anthracite grey colour.

The chairs have sturdy backs as well as armrests, and washable cushions are also included.

Plus the table lid lifts to reveal a storage compartment that you can tidy away any other accessories, garden equipment or toys in – it’ll fit up to 50 litres.

The set is the perfect size to fit in a small space like a balcony too.

At Tesco the set will be subject to available stock levels, and with the warm weather returning, garden furniture has been flying off retailer’s shelves so you’ll have to be quick to cash in on the bargain price.

You can use Tesco’s store locator tool to find your closest and head in to pick up the furniture set.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Here are some that we recommend:

  • Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
  • Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
  • Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
  • CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

Argos is selling the exact same set, although it’s 25% more expensive than Tesco’s.

The £150 three-piece furniture set does have a five year warranty though, and over 200 five-star reviews online.

Argos is also selling the same set but it's £150 to buy

Argos’s set has all the same features including the two chairs and storage table in the rattan effect but it comes in a cappuccino colour instead.

But if you want to get it delivered you’ll have to factor in the extra £6.95 it will cost on top of the price, making it nearly £157 overall and £37 more expensive than Tesco’s in total.

Argos does offer a free click and collect option too, you’ll just have to type in your postcode to find your closest available.

It is always best to shop around as you might find that the same or similar product is cheaper elsewhere and even though something looks like a deal it might not be the bargain you thought.

You can also pick up a similar style rattan set from The Range, but it’s £150 as well.

The bistro set that the online retailer is selling isn’t a Keter product but it’s still £30 more than Tesco’s.

It features two armed chairs and a table, with cushions included, but the table doesn’t have the quirky storage capability of Tesco’s design, even though it’s more money.

Plus, you can buy another three-piece rattan bistro set from Aldi that’s designed with a slightly different shape.

The chairs in the set are more like bucket seats but that makes them easier to stack one on top of the other if you’re trying to save space when storing them away.

Aldi’s set is out of stock at the moment but it’s coming back soon where it will still be £30 more than Tesco’s at £150 too.

Tesco has, in fact, launched a whole range of garden furniture that’s cheaper than Aldi’s sold-out one and the products have a striking resemblance.

Plus Wilko is selling a six-piece patio set for just £65, that’s also perfect for the warmer weather.

One site is even advertising for people to review garden furniture at the moment, like umbrellas and sun loungers, for £200 a week.
