A BARGAIN hunter has nabbed a garden essential scanning at just £35 at the till in Wilko.

The budget retailer is known for its bargains and can be source of cheap deals if you know what to look for.

And one lucky shopper managed to grab a great bargain.

Posting on Facebook’s Extreme Couponing & Bargains page, the happy customer found a parasol reduced to £40 each at Wilko.

And when she took it to the till, the bargain got even better – with the item scanning for £35.

She said that she “could not believe her luck” as the Charles Bentley summer item was reduced from a whopping £120.

It is free-standing – only requiring a weight on the bottom to hold securely – and it can be used anywhere in the garden.

The bargain hunter added: “The base you had to buy 4 of them they were reduced to £12.50 each, it was £25 each.

“I went to ask if they had any left as I couldn’t see any boxes. They said no but I can have the display one, so while they took it down my partner picked up the bases.

“The lady then went on to say we could have the display ones for £5 for ALL 4.”

Wilko staff then knocked £5 off the parasol meaning she got it for £35.

It means she paid £40 each for a hanging cantilever parasol and a base at the DIY shop.

The highly durable parasol is ideal for any buyers who want to put it over a hot tub or BBQ while enjoying the summer weather.

The satisfied customer added: “I am so happy right now as I have wanted one for ages.”

This isn’t the first time that items have scanned at the till for much less than what they’ve been advertised at.

One shopper said they found the “bargain of the year” with a sideboard that scanned at only £1 – instead of £199.

But there are many other items that you’ll be able to find for much less than what they’re being sold at.

Gardening fans have been rushing to Wilko to buy a £6.50 bargain that will transform your backyard.

And B&M shoppers were also rushing to buy a kitchen essential that scans as 99% off.

The discount store was selling a three-piece glass canister set for just 10p – down from £9.99.

While Asda customers found a vacuum cleaner that was going for nearly half the price it was advertised at.
