Barclays is shutting down its reward scheme for customers who do not use the internet.

The banking giant’s ‘Blue Rewards’ programme offers cash prizes to members every month.

But this month Barclays announced that only customers who are signed up to online banking or the mobile app can benefit.

A Barclays spokesman says: ‘As customers need online banking or the app to manage their Blue Rewards wallet, they are required to register to either.’
