BAFTAs have just named their 2024 nominees – here’s who gamers think will win

THE BAFTA Games Awards are the biggest award show for gaming in the UK, and all of the nominees have just been announced.

Much like in other award shows, Baldur’s Gate 3 received the most award nominations, with 10 in total.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 didn’t stray far behind with nine, while Alan Wake 2 received eight.

Here are all the nominees for the BAFTA Games Awards and who gamers think will win.

Best Game

It may be a bit of a cliché, but like for the other awards, we predict that Baldur’s Gate 3 will take this show too.

Best British Game

There are some great British games this year, but we think Viewfinder’s innovative design will help it win this one.

Best Narrative

With its intertwining story paths, we think Alan Wake 2 will win Best Narrative.

Best Technical Achievement

All of these games are technically impressive, but the physics of Tears of the Kingdom’s open world will likely swing this vote.

Best Game Design

For all of the reasons listed above, we expect Tears of the Kingdom to take this one too.

Best Animation

With a unique art style and flashy rhythm, we think Hi-Fi Rush deserves this award.

Best Artistic Achievement

While we love Hi-Fi Rush’s art style, the deep moody vibe of Alan Wake 2 makes us think this will win.

Best Audio Achievement

As you might expect from a rhythm game, the sound design of Hi-Fi Rush is on point, with everything bouncing to the beat.

Shocked that Hi-Fi Rush didn’t get nominated for this one, we think Alan Wake 2 will grab the award instead.
