Asos co-founder Nick Robertson has pocketed £13.6million from selling shares in the online fashion group.

The 53-year-old businessman sold 300,000 shares for between 4375p and 4723p in three transactions between Thursday and yesterday. Robertson co-founded Asos with his business partners Andrew Regan and Quentin Griffiths.

He was chief executive until 2015 and still sits on the board as a non-executive director.

His share sales come as Asos’s stock has rocketed in value by almost a third this year.

The retailer became one of the big lockdown winners, with profits quadrupling as locked down shoppers snapped up comfy clothes to wear at home and skincare products.

The company has also gone through a major shake-up after it put out a string of profit warnings.

Robertson is still one of the company’s largest investors with around 3.6m shares. His stake is worth about £160million.

In 2016 Robertson forced to sell off £70million of shares to fund a mega divorce settlement with his ex-wife, Janine.
