Shoppers are going wild for a “cosy” winter essential that will keep you warm through the night and it costs nothing to run.
Asda is selling their Lux Self-Heating Mattress Topper for just £25 online and it’s sure to keep you toasty a night.
You can get a double size for £30 and a King size for £35 online.

Self-heating mattress toppers have a unique heat-reflecting layer that combines with a deep-filled quilted top layer.
The mattress topper reflects all the body heat you produce back into itself to retain heat and keep you snug at night.
It uses no electricity so you won’t have to worry about it affecting your energy bill.

There are a few things you can do this winter to try and keep warm without putting the heating on.
Hot water bottles are always great for a cost-free way of keeping warm.
Electric blankets are another great way to keep warm and most cost around 3p an hour to run.
Prevention is always better than cure, make sure you draught-proof your home and seal your windows to stop air coming in.
Prices for draught excludes start from a fiver in most stores but a thick blanket rolled up will work just as well.
Loft insulation is also very important as it can stop heat escaping, therefore slashing your heating bill.
You can buy insulation from all local builder merchants or retailers such as B&Q and Wickes.
