A savvy shopper sparked frenzy when she shared the steal of a deal on social media, just two weeks before the big day.

After posting information on the Facebook group, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, people expressed their desire for the 6ft Snowy Tree.

“All Xmas trees half price or more this one down to £22.50 in Asda,” the picture was captioned.

A disappointed shopper frustrated that she missed out on the mega saving penned: “Can you believe it, if only I waited another day.”

Meanwhile, one woman who already purchased the decoration wrote: “I’ve had this tree for four years now it’s lovely.”

“Same I love mine, I think I’ve had mine four or five years now,” agreed another.

“I have this tree it is beautiful,” added a third impressed buyer.

Others expressed their eagerness to rush down to their local Asda and nab the snow covered pine.

“Oooh trip to Asda for me,” said one, while another commented “oh wow”.

“That’s a good bargain,” added someone else, as a second chimed in “cheaper than Tesco“.

One shopper claimed to have found the tree for £15 in their local superstore, while another said they took it home for £20.

This comes as savvy shoppers were amazed at a £5 toy perfect for Christmas – that normally retails for £30.
