Asda’s George has slashed the price of its Plain and Check Eyelet curtains

It comes after one shopper posted a photo of the find on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.

She said: “50% off curtains – George Asda.”

Others responded quickly to the find with one person saying: “Ooo I’m getting them even though I don’t need any.”

Another shopper said: “How do I order these please.”

The discounted curtains are available online only and come in a wide variety of colours.

Customers can bag a pair of Duck Egg curtains for £16 and they had their price cut from £32.

The Blue curtains have had their price cut from £40 to £20.

George at Asda has also slashed the price of its Check Woven Eyelet curtains with prices starting at £14.

But you’ll need to be quick while stocks last.

Customers wishing to bag the curtains online can use the click and collect service to avoid a delivery fee.

You can locate your nearest Asda on the supermarket’s website to find out if you can pick up your order the following day.

Those wishing to have the items delivered will need to spend £2.95 for standard delivery.

Shoppers wishing to use George’s named day delivery service will need to fork out on a £4.50 delivery fee.

The easiest way to see your delivery costs and options is to enter your postcode in your shopping basket.

But you should always have a quick shop around first as you might be able to find a similar product cheaper elsewhere.

Always remember that prices vary by brand, size and retailer so it’s worth having a browse elsewhere before you make a decision.

Use price comparison tools like Google Shopping to find similar products from other retailers and compare prices.

George’s curtains aren’t exactly the cheapest available and other retailers offer similar products for less.

For example, Argos stocks Habitat curtains that cost as little as £8.

Dunelm shoppers can also get a range of different curtains up to 50% off in its new half-price sale.

For example, shoppers can back a set of Nova Blackout Eyelet Curtains for as little as £12.50.

But it’s important to always remember that these bargains are only a good deal if you need the item in the first place – if you get it just because of the offer, you aren’t necessarily saving money.
