ASDA has scrapped its free click and collect slots and is now charging 50p for this service.
Shoppers have been left unimpressed following the news, which came into force this month.

Until now, Asda customers had been able to get next-day click and collect slots for free from the supermarket if spending over £25.
But the supermarket is now charging 50p for this service, which it says will help it to increase its click and collect capacity.
The supermarket continues to charge £1.50 for same day collection and £3.50 for collection within four hours.
The £4 surcharge for orders under £25 also remains in place – although if you pay this, you won’t also be charged 50p extra on top for the cheapest slots.

The change in click and collect price was first reported by MoneySavingExpert.
Following the new charge, customers have been taking to Twitter to vent their frustration.
One shopper said: “Hello, sneaky 50p charge for click and collect just appeared out of the blue.
“Seems inappropriate during these difficult times, not to mention asda currently making huge profits.”
Another tweeted: “Since when did it cost to secure a click and collect Asda?
“We are still in a pandemic and surely you would prefer to limit your visitors to your shop if an alternative option is available?”
A third said: “Hi there, I’m just wondering why you’re now charging a fee for click and collect from the Thrum Hall, Halifax store when it’s always been free previously?”
A fourth added: “Since when did Asda click and collect have a 50p charge?”
Another said: “Hmm, just spotted Asda are charging a fee for click and collect now. Nope.
“Guess I’ll be one of the many that just shop elsewhere instead now.”
