ARGOS shoppers are rushing to buy a lovely summer picnic bench for half price.

It’s the cheapest price we’ve found it for but you better hurry if you want to bag the deal.

Bargain hunters are snapping it up while it’s selling for £55, rather than £110.

The table is made from FSC certified wood, seats four and weighs 24.4kg.

You’ll need to build it yourself but there should be an instruction manual included to help.

However, it doesn’t come with a parasol, so you’d need to buy that separately if you want one.

Shoppers on the website are praising it, with one writing: “Chic little picnic bench”.

Another put: “Overall great for money.”

And a third wrote: “Bought this in June and enjoyed many days of fun and picnics in the garden in the kids.”

Keep in mind you need to add on an extra £3.95 for standard delivery.

Otherwise, you can order and collect from your nearest store – just use the store locator on the Argos website to find your nearest branch.

But as for all Argos orders, you need to buy your product online first before you can pick it up.

You can’t pop in and browse products on shelves.

And never buy something just because it’s down on price – make sure you actually wanted it before you take the leap.

Otherwise, you’re not saving any money.

You should also look around elsewhere in case you find the same thing for less.

Just use comparison sites like Google Shopping or PriceRunner to compare costs at other retailers.

At the moment the Argos set is the cheapest on the market.

We spotted a Rowlinson 4ft Picnic Bench form Wilko for £129 while B&Q is selling a GoodHome Agad wooden four-seater picnic bench for £98.

You’ll also get the same thing from Robert Dyas for £127, down from £153.

But it’s always good to have a quick check yourself in case we’ve missed anything.

Elsewhere, Argos shoppers are rushing to buy a two-seater Bistro Set for £50 instead of £100.

It’s made entirely from wood and weighs 9.6kg.

You can remove the table legs for storage and you don’t need to build it once purchased.

Both seats fold away but the set doesn’t come with any cushions or a parasol.

It’s also the cheapest on the market.

Another contender includes a two-seater Ikea wooden patio set for £69, down from £85.

We also spotted the same thing from Wilko for £169 – a whopping £119 more than Argos.
